o Clients often come to us with a problem and no solution. We spend time with
our clients to find out their need and then design and manufacture a solutions.
o Example: Loco Isolation Devices for Rio Tinto Locomotives
– Problem: The brake control stand in the cab of the loco could not be
isolated. This meant during maintenance the loco could be driven off
at any time even if someone is working underneath.
– Design & Solution: Months were spent designing and try to create a
safety device that would enable the brake stand to be locked into
place and isolated s maintenance can be carried out safely.
– Manufacture: A quote and prototype was submitted and the order
was raised. Almost 600 units where then manufactured and put into
the locomotives.
